Crowgift Jewelry is a collaboration between me — Jessica — and some of my favorite plant and animal neighbors.
I take fallen leaves and washed-ashore kelp and molted feathers and also I take photographs of my birdie associates, and I use these to make gifts from my neighborhood, and from the places beyond my neighborhood that I love.
I make them because these are the objects I crave wearing and the pieces of jewelry I have dreams about.
And I don’t know, it’s just a guess, but maybe when you take a quiet moment before the day really starts, and you ask yourself, "Whatcha need, sweetie?" you remember that crow perched on the street sign, yelling, "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and you're like: same.
Or maybe you just wanna close your eyes and feel something smooth and weighty between your fingers -- warm because your body warmed it, because you're alive.
SAME.
