A friend saw two crows steal from a raptor, part 5

I'm thinking about how crows show up as tricksters and friends and guides in human myth from alllllllll over the world, and by watching crows and feeling moved by them, I'm taking part in a birthright that precedes capitalism, precedes AGRICULTURE, precedes so much of what makes our world now.

If so much of what makes our world now is close to buckling into chaos, then remembering that I can be connected to past and future generations through myths, cached in culture like acorns for sustenance in lean times, I might be less afraid of the prospect of chaos.

I might remember that it's my birthright to find ways to survive and even be generous, to attend to relationship, to notice systems and find my way in the world.
