Redwoods are the tallest trees on our planet. They … drink the sky? They drink the sky. They're so tall that they take in water from the mist and clouds through their leaves and bark. If they drank only from their roots they wouldn't be able to get that water alllllllll the way to their tippy tops!
I sculpted it from the impression of a Redwood sprig growing by Lake Merritt in Oakland, California. It's weighty and calming around the neck.
