A family of crows showed it to me. They flew ahead of me down the road, about twenty human paces at a stretch, waiting for me to catch up before flying on, till we arrived at this tree. They knew I had peanuts to offer, and this was their preferred spot for gift exchange: it offers privacy and safety.
